The experience
Not just a place to sleep.
Casalvia is designed around the rhythm of the purposeful traveller — early starts, long days in the mountain, and the deep rest that follows. Every detail, from the quality of the mattress to the speed of the Wi-Fi, is calibrated for people who take both their adventures and their recovery seriously.
The building sits in the heart of Sella, a village perched at 430 metres in the Aitana mountains. Step outside and you are minutes from world-class climbing crags, mountain cycling roads, and trails that wind through limestone and wild sage. Step back inside and the noise of the world falls away.
The rooms
Four room types. One building. No compromise.
All rooms are en-suite, individually designed, and built around the same principle: genuine comfort for people who have earned their rest. Rooms are available from (anticipated) late 2027 — follow our journal or reach out to stay informed.
Accessible Double
Ground floor. Designed for full accessibility without compromise on comfort or character. Private en-suite bathroom, direct access to the breakfast area and patio.
Double
Four double rooms on the first floor, each with its own character and outlook. En-suite bathrooms, independent climate control, and access to the guest pantry on the same floor.
Junior Suite
A double room with a separate living area — for those who want more space to breathe, work, or simply stay longer. First floor, en-suite, with a private sitting corner.
Penthouse
The top of the house. A generous double room with a larger living space and the best views in the building. For those who want the full casalvia experience.
In the building
Everything you need. Nothing you don't.
Breakfast
A daily breakfast served in the ground floor breakfast room, facing the Plaça Mayor. Local produce, unhurried pace.
Adventure Hub
Secure, dedicated storage for bikes, climbing gear, helmets, and ropes. Easily accessible from the street — so you can leave early and return late without disrupting the house.
Work & Connect
A quiet coworking corner with high-speed mesh Wi-Fi throughout the building. Designed for remote professionals who need reliability, not just connectivity.
Guest Pantry
Available on the first floor between rooms — a small fridge, a Quooker for instant hot water, and a coffee machine. For early starts and late returns.
Terrace
A private outdoor space to decompress after the mountain. Quiet, sheltered, and unhurried.

In the heart of the village. Walking distance to local restaurants, and minutes by car or bike from the climbing sectors and mountain roads.
Who stays here
Climbers
Sella sits at the edge of one of Europe's finest sport climbing areas. Over 500 routes across multiple sectors, from beginner crags to world-class limestone faces — all within minutes of the front door.
Cyclists
The roads of the Marina Baixa are a cyclists' pilgrimage. Mountain passes, quiet inland roads, and legendary coastal climbs — with the altitude of Sella as a natural base for training and recovery.
Remote professionals
100% fibre broadband, mountain quiet, and a village that moves at a human pace. casalvia is built for people who need their work environment to match the quality of their thinking.
Project timeline
We are building this, step by step.
Casalvia is a project in development. We are partially self-funded and actively pursuing external financing, along with local, regional, tourism, and sustainability grants to support future phases. If you are interested in supporting the project in any way, we'd love to hear from you.
Project development
Property acquisition, architect selection, planning, and permit preparation. Currently in progress.
Permits
Licencia de obras and tourism licensing applications submitted and processed.
Renovation
Full structural and interior renovation of the 1950s building. Phase 1: first rooms and core shared spaces.
Soft opening
First rooms open. First guests. The beginning of something we have been building toward for a long time.
Phase 2 complete
Remaining rooms open. Full capacity reached. Elevator and upgraded shared spaces in place.
Phase 3 complete
Final phase. The full casalvia vision realised.
